Blyth Enforcement Team

Blyth Town Council, through Northumberland County Council, appointed a Local Environment Enforcement Officer.

The Enforcement Team are employed to deal with any issues that affect the environment such as, litter, dog fouling, fly tipping, accumulations of waste and abandoned vehicles. They are able to issue notices to offenders and follow up with prosecution if required. Although regular litter and dog fouling patrols are carried out – we do rely on reports from residents in Blyth so the team can be directed to where there are persistent problems.

As usual, we work closely with Northumberland County Council’s NEAT team on these issues.

Any issues should be reported to the Town Council office who will pass them on to the team immediately.

Please email or telephone with details: info@blythtowncouncil.gov.uk or 01670 361668.
