Dog Park Consultation

Blyth Town Council is considering a proposal to create a secure dog park in Blyth.
The creation of such a facility is estimated to cost at least £25,000. Dog parks are areas of enclosed grass where dog owners can exercise their dogs off lead. The dog park would be unsupervised and there would be no features inside the dog park, although seating, litter bins and dog bag dispensers would be available immediately outside of the dog park. Owners would remain legally responsible for the behaviour of their dog(s) when using an enclosed dog park.

Currently there is a secure dog park available at Briardale House; this is bookable for a small charge enabling sole use for an hour.
