Great British Spring Clean

Details
Blyth Town Council is proud to be taking part in the Great British Spring Clean, running from 13 to 29 March 2026.
The Great British Spring Clean brings communities together to tackle litter, protect local green spaces, and create cleaner, safer neighbourhoods for everyone to enjoy. Each year, thousands of volunteers across the country give a small amount of time to make a big difference — and Blyth is no exception.
By getting involved, you can help improve local streets, parks, beaches, and open spaces, support wildlife, and take pride in the place we all call home. Whether you can spare 30 minutes or a full afternoon, every bag of litter collected helps create a cleaner, more welcoming town.
This year’s message is love where you live. Everyone is invited to make a pledge to pick one bag of litter to help make a visible difference to our town.
How You Can Get Involved
Residents, community groups, schools, and businesses are all encouraged to take part. You can:
- Join an organised litter pick in Blyth
- Organise your own clean-up with friends, family, or neighbours
- Help spread the word and encourage others to get involved
Keep an eye on our Events Pages and our social media channels for the details of events happening near you.
We are also welcoming small groups who would like to arrange their own litter picks. Equipment can be provided on a first come first served basis.
Please contact info@blythtowncouncil.gov.uk if you would like to arrange a litter pick.
