Blyth Town Council invites families to get creative this half term as a week of free Halloween activities comes to Blyth town centre as part of Blyth Celebrates.

Throughout the week, Market Pavilion will be getting into the Halloween spirit with a programme of drop-in arts and crafts for children and families.

Alongside the individual activities, visitors will also be able to help create something much bigger, as a giant spooky creation takes shape throughout the week. Families will be encouraged to get involved, adding to and decorating the creation as the week progresses.

The Halloween fun will spill out into the Marketplace on Friday 30 October, when a colourful and slightly spooky community parade takes place at 3pm, featuring costumed dancers, music and plenty of Halloween atmosphere.

The activities form part of Blyth Celebrates, the cultural programme launched in 2025 which uses events, festivals and creative experiences to bring people together and showcase Blyth’s past, present and future.

The programme encourages residents, artists and businesses to get involved in creating a vibrant and welcoming town centre, while building a lasting cultural legacy for Blyth.

All of the Halloween activities are family-friendly and free to attend.

Blyth Celebrates 2026/27 is funded by Northumberland County Council.
