Day of Reflection : Sunday 9 March

On this significant day, we come together to pause, remember, and reflect on the past five years since the pandemic began. It’s a time to honour the lives lost, the resilience shown, and the support that has kept us strong.
The COVID-19 pandemic changed so much about how we live, work, and connect. It tested our limits but also highlighted the strength of community, kindness, and meaningful moments. On this Day of Reflection, we invite you to take time for yourself and those around you, reconnecting with what matters most—family, friends, and community.
St. Mary’s and St. Bede’s will hold a time of remembrance during their morning services. We encourage you to join them in honouring those we’ve lost and reflecting together. If you or your organisation are hosting a similar event, please let us know so we can share the details!
Whether you choose to take a walk with family, sit by the sea, or visit a place of worship, every gesture can bring comfort and connection. These small moments help us honour the memories of those we’ve lost and reflect on how far we’ve come as individuals and as a community.
In this time of reflection, let’s support one another. Check in with loved ones, share stories, or simply offer a kind word. Together, we remain resilient and united.
Take a moment to plan how you’d like to observe this meaningful day, whether in solitude, with family, or in community. Let’s appreciate the strength and connections that continue to shape us.
