Blyth Media Day: Young Filmmakers Shine in a One-Day Challenge

On Tuesday, we hosted our second Blyth Media Day, an exciting event where young creatives came together to produce their very own short films in just one day. With enthusiasm, imagination, and teamwork, 50 talented young people took on the challenge of creating a film from scratch—developing a concept, writing a script, acting, and operating filming equipment—all within six hours!

The energy and passion displayed throughout the day were truly inspiring. Participants not only experienced the fast-paced world of filmmaking but also had the unique opportunity to go behind the scenes at the Phoenix Theatre in Blyth. Here, they gained insight into the intricate work that brings theatrical productions to life, from set design to lighting and stage management.

A huge thank you to ACT 2 CAM for hosting the sessions and guiding these young filmmakers through the creative process. Their expertise and support played a vital role in making this event a success.
