Blyth Town Council Installs New Fencing to Protect Green Space and Boost Safety

Blyth Town Council recently approved a fencing project aimed at enhancing safety and preserving a local green space. Approved at the Environment Committee meeting on 19 September 2024, with installation completed on 29 October, the project introduced Birdsmouth fencing along the boundary of the green space between Axwell Drive and Brierley Road.
The new fencing was installed to prevent vehicles from accessing the green space, a recurring issue that has prompted multiple reports of concern. This addition improves safety around the recently refurbished play area, providing a secure and accessible space for local children and families.
