In Blyth, a dedicated group of volunteers is making a significant impact through Blyth Foodbank, providing essential support to individuals and families in need. The foodbank distributes emergency food parcels, helping those struggling with food insecurity, often due to rising living costs and unstable employment. Volunteers carefully pack nutritionally balanced parcels and distribute them with compassion and respect, ensuring that no one in the community goes hungry.

Blyth Foodbank is sustained by the collective efforts of its volunteers, who donate time and energy to support their neighbours. The wider community also plays a key role, with schools, businesses, and organisations contributing donations and resources. 

Recognising the invaluable work of Blyth Foodbank, Blyth Town Council is now providing vital financial support with a six-monthly donation of £5,000, ensuring the foodbank can continue its mission to support those in need. This partnership reflects the town's strong community spirit and commitment to helping its most vulnerable residents.
