The Town Council is pleased to report that the wildflower verges at Chase Farm Drive and Albion Way are now fully established and providing a stunning display of colour across both sites.

The areas were seeded as part of the Council's commitment to enhancing local biodiversity and creating more attractive green spaces for residents. Following planting, an unusually dry spell affected early growth, and we appreciate the patience and understanding shown by the community while the wildflowers took time to establish.

That patience has now paid off, with both sites flourishing and providing valuable habitats for wildlife. The gardens are already attracting bees, butterflies and other pollinators, helping to support biodiversity and strengthen local ecosystems.

Councillor David Johnson, Chairman of Environment Committee, said:

"The wildflower planting is looking fantastic this summer. It's lovely to see Blyth blooming, and it's great for wildlife and insects too!"
