Blyth Battery Goes to War returns this May

Blyth Battery will host its popular Blyth Battery Goes to War weekend on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2026, bringing military history to life through displays, demonstrations and live entertainment.

The free two-day event will take place at Blyth Battery, Links Road, South Beach, Blyth, from 10am to 4pm each day.

Visitors can enjoy a packed programme including weapons demonstrations, home front displays, a beach battle, military vehicles and live music across the weekend.

The event is free to attend, with donations welcomed on the day to help Blyth Battery continue to keep this much-loved community event free for everyone.

Blyth Town Council is pleased to support the event and the valuable work of Blyth Battery in preserving and celebrating the town’s military heritage.
