The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers to Parade and Perform at Blyth Town Council's VE Day 80 Commemoration

Blyth Town Council is proud to announce that the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, one of the British Army’s most distinguished regiments, will be parading and performing at this year’s VE Day 80 commemorative event. The celebration will take place on Saturday 3rd May on Blyth Quayside, with the Fusilier Band parading from 10:30 AM.
This special occasion marks the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, and Blyth is honoured to welcome the Regiment as part of the official programme. The Fusiliers, known for their proud history and ceremonial excellence, will be accompanied by representatives from all branches of the Armed Forces and Blyth's Royal British Legion, in a moving tribute to the courage and sacrifice of those who served during the Second World War.
Also joining the commemorations will be Northumberland’s representative to His Majesty The King, The Right Honourable Lord Lieutenant, Dr. Caroline Pryer, underscoring the importance of the event in the county’s civic calendar.
Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to come along, show their support, and enjoy the sounds of the Fusilier Band set against the iconic backdrop of Blyth’s Quayside.
The event promises to be a memorable day of reflection, pride, and community spirit.
