Call for Artists: Mural Commission at Isabella Skatepark, Blyth

Blyth Town Council is inviting professional artists or collectives to lead a creative community project culminating in a bold, co-designed mural at the new Isabella Skatepark. This initiative aims to empower local children and young people (ages 8–18) through a series of inclusive workshops, fostering pride and ownership of the space.
The selected artist will deliver at least two creative sessions at Isabella Community Centre, using the ideas generated to develop a final mural design. Once approved, the artist will oversee the painting process on-site, with opportunities for young participants to get involved. A final project report will also be required.
The mural will be painted on sealed concrete using water-based paints, with full support from the Town Council for workshop promotion and surface preparation.
