Exciting Funding Decisions Announced - September 2024

We're thrilled to share the latest updates from the Community Funding Sub Committee meeting held on 10 September 2024.

 

Here are the deserving organisations and projects that received funding following submitting applications for support:

 

1.           Blossoming Communities was approved funding of £5,000 to contribute to the weekly wellbeing arts and crafts workshops that run at St Mary's Church Hall in Blyth.

 

2.           Community Food and Friendship Blyth was approved funding of £4,800 towards core costs (so that they can continue to support the users, upskill them growing their confidence)

 

3.           Headway Arts was approved funding of £5,000 to contribute towards core costs to maintain a dynamic creative offer for the people of Blyth and to support the ongoing development of the building as a community arts and cultural centre.

 

4.           Leading Link was approved funding of £5,000. The funding will be used to focus on young people and their needs to gain experience, upskilling, and training in line with the Young Leader Model.

 

5.           Loud Arts CIC was approved funding of £5,000 to deliver Community Voices Chair plus Makaton Sessions in the community.

 

 

A total of £24,800 was approved for the above-mentioned organisations and groups to support these wonderful initiatives and the remarkable work these organisations do to make a difference in our community! 

 

Next Meeting of Community Funding Sub-Committee: Tuesday, 12 November 2024, at 6:30 pm in the Council Chamber, Arms Evertyne House.

 

The next deadline for applications to be received is Tuesday, 22 October 2024.
