Co-op and Phoenix Taxis Support Blyth Live

Blyth Town Council has announced sponsors for the highly anticipated Blyth Live Festival. This year’s event, set to take place on 15th June at the Mermaid Car park , is proudly supported by Phoenix Taxis and the Co-op.

The festival promises a fantastic line-up, featuring performances by the Lindisfarne Story Band, Peter Donegan Band, Martin Stephenson and the Dainties and a host of other talented groups and entertainers. As a free to the public event, Blyth Town Council is using Blyth Live as a way to bring the community together for a day of music, fun, and celebration.

Ceri Finn Co-op Member Pioneer Co-ordinator - Northumberland & East Lothian expressed the company's enthusiasm for participating in the event, saying, “We’re excited to be involved with Blyth Live as we have a lovely brand-new Co-op store right next to the event which the local community and residents are loving having here. The event is an extension of our community engagement in the area and it’s going to be an incredibly busy day for everyone.”

Sophie Jakes from Phoenix Taxis added, “Being based in the town, we wanted to put something back into the community where we operate and help where we can. We’re happy to support this fantastic event and we'll be transporting lots of people to and from the festival, so we’re very excited.”

Blyth Town Council extended its gratitude to Phoenix Taxis and the Co-op for their generous support as Mayor Councillor Aileen Barrass explained:

“Once again, we look forward to a successful and memorable festival. The event underscores the vibrant community spirit of Blyth and highlights the importance of local businesses in fostering community engagement. Phoenix Taxis and the Co-op are key providers in the town, and we are grateful for their support at Blyth Live,” she said.

As well as the musical attractions, the festival will have street theatre, stalls, superb food, and a family activity area including a fun fair which will keep all ages entertained. The event starts at 11am and runs until 9pm. The event’s media partner is Blyth based Frisk Radio.
