HMS Blyth Visit

Blyth's adopted warship 'HMS Blyth' visited the port on Friday 23 July.
HMS Blyth is a Sandown-class minehunter of the British Royal Navy. The long standing relationship with HMS Blyth reflects the important part that the town played in naval history during both world wars.
The ship is due to be decommissioned and ahead of this, visited Blyth for one last dock. The Town Council were delighted to be invited aboard ship, along with various Blyth based community groups. The connection with HMS Blyth is that of a lasting legacy.
